Ben moved straight from A-levels into his commercial flight training having quickly decided that being stuck on the ground wasn’t for him. On gaining his commercial licence, Ben worked for Thomson Airways in their Flight Operations department for a brief 4 month period before being offered a flying role at Thomson on the Boeing 737. After flying the 737 for 3 years, Ben moved to fly the Airbus A320 with British Airways in early 2019. Having continued flying light aircraft through this whole period, Ben used the lull in commercial flying caused by the coronavirus pandemic to gain his Flight Instructor rating and is thoroughly enjoying sharing his passion for aviation with everyone he has the pleasure of teaching.
