andy_kilvington

After achieving a first in Meteorology at Reading University, Andy’s varied aviation career began as a flying instructor to Royal Air Force and Royal Navy officers, teaching aerobatic, formation, instrument, and low level flying in Slingsby Firefly aircraft. During this time he also competed in the British National Aerobatic Championships. Andy then converted to modified Falcon 20 aircraft flying worldwide special mission and electronic warfare training for the Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and non-UK air forces before moving to a leading UK charter airline flying Boeing 737 Classic and NG aircraft, whilst also delivering training in the classroom. His final career move was to a major UK business aviation operator, where he is now Head of Training, and operates Boeing 757, Bombardier Challenger 604/605 and more recently Bombardier Global 6000/6500 aircraft.

Andy has always had a passion for training, currently teaches in the Challenger 604 simulator and, in his spare time, continues to keep his enthusiasm for light aircraft flying alive as an Instructor back on the same Slingsby Firefly aircraft he flew and taught on 20 years ago.
