Adrian Read

Adrian started flying at the age 15 on gliders and followed the then popular “self improver route” to gaining a Commercial Pilots licence. Building up experience as a flying instructor Adrian was sponsored by Britannia Airways in 1987 to gain a position as a co-pilot on the Boeing 737 fleet. After spending 6 years flying the B737 he then converted to the B757/767 where he gained his command in 2000. Adrian returned to the B737NG in 2012 and holds current TRI/ZFT LIFUS qualifications. Adrian is also qualified on the Falcon 2000EX EASy as an SFI. Adrian has held airline training positions for nearly 20 years. Adrian has had a current FI rating since 1986 and has taught on many types including the Chipmunk, Tiger Moth, Cap10B, Super Decathlon, Harvard/T6 and of course the T67 Firefly.
