UPRT Upset Prevention Recovery Training Bridge Course

Course AIM

The aim of the bridge course is to expose pilots receiving Upset Prevention Recovery Training (UPRT) in a simulator to the physiological effects of upsets that a simulator is unable to replicate.

Prerequisites

Before commencing the Upset Prevention Recovery Training (UPRT) Bridge course the student must hold either an Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or a frozen Air Transport Pilot Licence with a current type rating.

Course duration

A full-time course will last 1 day weather dependent. Please note this course is not available on a part-time basis.

Flying time

The flight training consists of 2 flights totalling 2 hours.

Ground school

The course consists of 3 hours instructor lead ground school.
