Single Engine Piston (SEP) Class Rating

Course AIM

The aim of the Single Engine Piston (SEP) class rating is to enable holders of a pilot’s licence to act as pilot on the class of aircraft specified in the rating.

Prerequisites

Before commencing a Single Engine Piston (SEP) class rating the student must hold a valid pilot’s licence i.e. Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL), Multi pilot licence (MPL).

Course duration

A full-time course of flight training will take 5 days weather dependent. This course is available on a part time bases to fit the students availability.

Flying time

The Single Engine Piston (SEP) Class Rating course comprises of a minimum of 9 hours of flight instruction including 3 hours of normal flight, 2 hours of abnormal and emergency procedures and 3 hours of navigation.

Ground school

The theoretical knowledge section of the course shall consist of a minimum of 6 hours.
