UPRT Advanced Upset Prevention Recovery Training – Train the Trainer (FCL.915e)

Course AIM

The aim of the Advanced Upset Prevention Recovery Training (UPRT) Train the Trainer course is to qualify instructors in the delivery of Upset Prevention Recovery Training (UPRT) in accordance with FCL.745. A by amplifying knowledge and skills in upset prevention and, especially, upset recovery so they can expose students and make them more resilient to psychological and physiological aspects usually experienced in dynamic upsets.

Prerequisites

Before commencing the Advanced Upset Prevention Recovery Training (UPRT) Train the trainer course to entitle the instructor to conduct training in accordance with FCL.745.A they must:

  • Hold an unrestricted Flight Instructor (FI) rating.
  • Have at least 500 hours of flight time as pilot of aeroplanes, including 200 hours of flight instruction.
  • Complete a pre-course assessment within the preceding 6 months before the commencement date of the course, to assess suitability to undertake the course.
  • It is recommended that candidates either hold an aerobatic rating for aeroplanes or have equivalent experience.

Course duration

A full-time course will last 6 days weather dependent. Please note this course is not available on a part time basis.

Flying time

The flight training consists of 7 hours 20 minutes.

Ground school

The course consists of 16 hours instructor lead ground school.
